Usually, the president and cabinet members attend, so what many are watching is whether You will meet Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy at the event.

I think that for our representative offices in the U.S., that is, our ambassadors, they should be in close communication and have appropriate arrangements.
When answering sensitive questions, You was guarded. However, McCarthy was unyielding in his responses after U.S. media revealed recently that he planned to visit Taiwan this spring, prompting a shrill warning from China.

立法院長游錫堃訪美演講，呼籲世界認清中國的政權本質，但外界更好奇，他會不會和眾議院議長麥卡錫會面，游錫堃沒有正面回應，畢竟中國三番兩次恐嚇麥卡錫不能來台灣，但麥卡錫直接回嗆，他不認為中國能命令我能去哪裡。
