Another power bank fire. This time, it wasn’t even in use or charging. The victim was on holiday in Busan, South Korea and taking a bus ride when the power bank in her bag suddenly caught fire. Worse, she was taking a nap and had her face against the bag, which she rested on her thighs. She got her face and hair burned, while her husband inhaled the smoke and sustained injuries in the nasal tract. The same model is still available on the market, and so far the brand has yet to make a statement. Let’s take a closer look and find out more.

My wife suddenly screamed that it burned. We were snoozing. When we opened our eyes, we saw a thick layer of smoke in front of us. We also inhaled it. The smell of burned lithium battery stayed in the nose for three days. It stayed no matter how much you try to sneeze it out. I went to an ENT doctor, who told me that I had injuries in my nose.

Suddenly something on my leg felt really hot. I saw the smoke and quickly got it off me. Another passenger quickly swept it up and hurled it onto the street.
The couple from Taoyuan was on a skiing holiday in Busan, South Korea. They were on a bus when the wife’s bag, which she rested on her thighs, suddenly heated up. That’s when they realized that the power bank inside had caught fire. The victim had her face against it while taking a nap, so she got her face and hair burned. Even their passports inside the bag were almost left unusable.

This spot on my thigh burned. So I quickly woke up, and saw that for some reason, this spot was charred. My wrists and hair were also charred. It smelled really bad.

It could be because of overcharging, or there could be a short circuit. That could be caused by placing a key on top, or dropping it and causing mechanical damage, causing it to short circuit.
The same model is still available in stores. We called the brand to clarify, but they didn’t answer. The victim’s power bank was neither in use nor charging when it caught fire, but she still sustained injuries, so she’s decided to sue.

又發生行動電源自燃爆炸，有民眾到釜山旅遊，在巴士裡趴在包包上睡覺，沒想到沒使用的行動電源突然燒起來，巴士內瞬間煙霧瀰漫，不但燒到臉，頭髮也遭殃，真的嚇壞了，還差一點燒到護照。事後向業者反映後，卻發現這款行動電源，目前並未下架，還在販售。
巴士裡煙霧迷漫，還有濃濃臭味，到底什麼燒起來，居然是行動電源，整個燒到焦黑，連地板都被燒破一個洞，讓乘客嚇壞了。

“我老婆她就突然大叫一聲，她說好燙喔，然後我們在睡覺，然後打開眼睛，發現眼前都是一片白霧。聞到吸到鼻子裡面去，它會有三天的時間，你的鼻子裡面，全部都是那個鋰電池的味道，怎麼擤都擤不掉，然後我後來還有去一些那個耳鼻科檢查，他說鼻子裡面有一些受傷。”

“突然間腳燙燙的，然後看到有冒煙趕快丟掉。車上的人就趕快把那個行動電源丟到馬路上去。”
桃園有民眾到韓國釜山滑雪，結果在巴士上，放在腿上的皮包，突然熱熱的，才發現行動電源自燃，當時當事人趴著睡覺，不但燒到臉，頭髮，連護照都差點遭殃。

“大腿這邊燙燙的，我就趕快起來，不知道為什麼連這邊一起(黑掉)，手上、頭髮全部都是黑黑的煙，很臭。”

“都可以能因為你充太久，或者不小心短路，比如放鑰匙在上面，或者稍微撞到摔到的時候，一種機械損傷，就造成裡面的短路。”
實際到店內，發現同款行動電源，仍在販賣，打電話聯絡業者，卻沒有接，沒有使用的行動電源，竟然燃燒爆炸，害得旅程都被打亂，當事人決定提告。
