Many people who collect trading cards often travel abroad to find rare collectables, either buying, trading, or having their cards professionally graded in hopes of multiplying their value. Some collectors even consider the market’s prospects and view collecting rare cards as an investment.
This binder is packed with over 100 Pokémon cards, all carefully organized and well protected. The collector also has 10 special, rare cards worth about NT$60,000, which she traveled to Japan to get.

有不少遊戲卡牌收藏家，為收集特殊卡牌，甚至會飛到國外，與買家交易，或是送交鑑定，希望卡片的價值能夠翻倍再翻倍，許多收藏家也看好卡牌的前景，把收集卡牌，當作投資。
翻開卡冊，裡頭全都是一張張寶可夢系列卡牌，整套收集起來，超過上百張。另外這一系列，同樣也是珍藏款，一共10張，要價6萬，被玩家們視為珍寶，甚至了為它們，還跑到日本，尋找買家。
以粉色為底，上頭還有貼紙，在燈光底下，一閃一閃亮晶晶，就是這一張"夢幻"卡牌擄獲不少收藏家的心，還有這一張，寶可夢與梵谷博物館聯名，單一張就可賣到兩、三萬，但若是經過鑑定的卡牌，身價直接翻倍，最高可賣到將近10萬。

“很多人喜歡蒐集藝術家的卡，藝術家的卡，因為畫風很美，然後所以就是，也會是一個高價的關鍵，很多人喜歡珍藏的話，會建議收集藝術家的卡。”
卡片精細程度，裁切有無歪斜，外觀是否有刮痕，都會影響到卡牌價格，但也有不肖人士，看上卡牌價值，在網路上販售假卡。

不少玩家除了收藏之外，也將卡牌視為另類投資，可見小小卡牌，也有大大商機。
