Weather to get cooler in coming days with dry spell starting National Day

The rain that lingered over northern Taiwan tapered off on Sunday. For National Day on Monday, the northeast monsoon is expected to usher in dry and cool weather. How cool will it get? Let’s hear from the Central Weather Bureau.

The period from Monday evening to early Tuesday morning is the time when the next wave of the northeast monsoon will be at its strongest. By then, the low temperatures in the central, northern and northeastern regions may drop to as low as 20 degrees. Other places will see lows of 21 or 22 degrees. Compared with the past few days, the weather will be significantly cooler.

On Double Ten, the northeast monsoon is expected to pick up, bringing in dry and cool air. After noon, the weather will be significantly drier and become cloudy to sunny. But the mercury will continue to drop. It will be coolest on Oct. 11, with low temperatures in the north dropping to around 20 degrees. In open areas, they could even hit 18 degrees.

“週一晚上到週二清晨這段時間,是下一波東北季風最強的時候,到時候在中部以北跟東北部低溫,就有機會下降到20度左右,其他地方的低溫也只有21、22度,跟過去幾天相比,會有再度明顯轉涼的情況。”

10/10東北季風增強,帶來乾涼空氣,各地下半天明顯轉乾、恢復多雲到晴的天氣,氣溫也將溜滑梯,11號上班日最冷,北部低溫下探20度,空曠地區有機會下探18度。
