Transport minister
This is the first time the Han Kuang drills will be held at Taoyuan International Airport, which is our most important world-facing infrastructure. We will ask for full compliance from the Civil Aeronautics Administration and the Taoyuan International Airport Corporation. On July 26 there will be a two-hour drill, during which there will be around 65 flights. We’ll block off parts of the airport. The north runway will be closed down for the purpose of the exercise. As for the south runway, discussions will be held with the military over whether aircraft may take off or land at certain times.
The minister said that a notice on air traffic control measures will be issued. He acknowledged that air traffic is busy during the summer season, and he asked for travelers’ understanding. Flights are being rearranged with the goal of minimizing disruption, he said.

王國材表示,屆時將發布飛航通告進行管制。他也說,暑假期間飛機較為繁忙,請旅客多多包涵。目前各航班仍在調配中,會在影響航班最小範圍下進行。
