Cherry blossom festival to kick off at Wuling Farm on Feb. 8

Get ready for a floral feast for the eyes. The cherry blossom festival at Wuling Farm will start Feb. 7 and last till the end of the month. The Highway Bureau, Tourism Administration, and Wuling Farm will work together to manage visitor flows, which will be capped at 6,000 people a day. Group travelers will need to book in advance, and there will be six shuttle buses to the farm each day.

The farm says that some of its trees, like the Japanese cherry, are already in bloom. The Japanese Showa cherry will flower by late January, and the Wusheh Cherry is due in mid-to-late February.

武陵農場櫻花季2/8登場 每日上限6千人入場

武陵農場櫻花季將於2月8日登場,持續至2月29日。公路局、武陵農場、觀光署等單位合作規劃疏運措施。包括場內總量管制,每天限6千人進場。團客需要先預約才能入場。道路交通管制。在公共運輸接駁方面,每日則有6條賞櫻專車路線。

武陵農場表示,目前部分山櫻花已盛開,其他櫻花將依品種特性、栽培位置、海拔高度等不同而陸續綻放,像是山櫻花預計1月中綻放、昭和櫻1月底綻放、紅粉佳人2月初綻放、霧社櫻也將於2月中後綻放。
