Tennis ace Hsieh Su-wei was the champion in not one, but two categories at the Australian Open. After she won the mix doubles title on Friday, the 38-year-old Hsinchu native bagged the women’s doubles title on Sunday. Hsieh teamed up with Elise Mertens of Belgium and dispatched their Ukrainian and Latvian opponents in 1 hour and 33 minutes in two straight sets.
In addition to winning her eighth Grand Slam title, Hsieh also became the first player to win both the mixed doubles and women’s doubles categories at the Australian Open in 24 years.
