Rains give boost to north, central reservoirs

Days of rain have brought good news for Taiwan’s drought outlook. Since the start of the week, the nation’s reservoirs have received over 50 million tons of water combined. The biggest beneficiaries are reservoirs in the north and central regions, with Liyu Lake in Miaoli leading the gains.

In the north, Shihmen Reservoir has risen to 25.2% capacity. Feitsui Reservoir has broken past the halfway mark. Farther south, Deji Reservoir in Taichung has reached 57.6%. Sun Moon Lake in Nantou now stands at 86.6%

受到鋒面影響,不少地方雨勢不斷,正值台灣枯水期,各地水庫水情吃緊,這波雨來的正是時候,從週一到週四下午,全台水庫共進水超過5千萬噸。其中,中北部的水庫受益最大,苗栗鯉魚潭水庫進帳第一名。

北部地區,石門水庫蓄水率來到25.2%,翡翠水庫蓄水量也超過5成。再來看看中南部地區,德基水庫蓄水率來到57.6%,日月潭水庫蓄水率來到86.6%。
