New website raises public awareness of fraud schemes

Investment fraud is rampant in Taiwan, with some families falling apart after falling for scams. The Taiwan Stock Exchange is working hard to raising awareness about fraud schemes and how to avoid them. It recently launched a website called “Tales of Financial Fraud and Ghostly Schemes,” inviting artists to design characters representing different types of scams. Through its efforts, the public can learn how to better protect their hard-earned savings.
This handsome and articulate actor enacts a fraud scenario, dressed at first as a prosecutor just like a real scammer might do.
Cases of fraud in Taiwan have been running rampant. To raise public awareness of fraud schemes, the Taiwan Stock Exchange, or TWSE, invited actors to tell the stories of six different fraudsters, helping audience members to better identity fraud.

The types of fraud behind these stories allow our investors, through these stories, to subtly absorb and better understand the nature of these tales and fraud schemes.
The images of these six fraudsters were designed by well-known artists in unique styles. These distinctive characters help the audience remember the fraudsters’ stories. This is one original way the exchange is spreading anti-fraud information.

We also organize some related activities. For example, we hold a fraud story-writing competition, where everyone can talk about their experience of being cheated.
Last month alone, there were more than 10,000 cases of fraud, costing the public a total of NT$6 billion. Through the TWSE’s new website, “Tales of Financial Fraud and Ghostly Schemes,” anyone can improve their ability to recognize fraud and protect their savings.

防詐! 證交所設網站"投資詐騙鬼怪談" 守護全民辛苦錢

台灣投資詐騙猖獗，甚至有家庭因為詐騙案件家破人亡，為了守護民眾一生的積蓄，證交所持續以各種不同型式推廣反詐相關資訊，推出「金融投資詐騙鬼怪談」網站，還請知名插畫家，設計不同詐騙態樣的鬼， 增加記憶點，希望幫民眾守護自己的辛苦錢。
一表人才，講話條理清晰，舞台劇演員扮成假的檢察官，模擬詐騙情境，像極了詐騙集團。
詐騙案件猖獗，為了提升全民"識詐"能力及阻斷詐騙訊息，證交所邀請舞台劇演員生動演繹6隻詐騙鬼的詐騙手法，提醒民眾小心有鬼。

“這六個鬼故事背後的詐騙的一些型態，讓我們的投資者能夠在這樣子的鬼故事，在這個潛移默化裡面，更能夠了解這些鬼故事的型態跟詐騙的型態。”
詐騙鬼的形象，其實是出自6位知名插畫家，以擅長的畫風，設計代表不同詐騙態樣的鬼，讓民眾更有記憶點，證交所持續以各種不同型式推廣反詐相關資訊。

“我們也會辦相關的一些活動提到的就是例如說，我們藉由鬼故事的徵文比賽的方式，大家來談大家受騙的鬼故事的經驗。”
詐騙層出不窮，光是上個月就有超過1萬件詐騙案件，民眾財損超過60億元，證交所這次推出「金融投資詐騙鬼怪談」網站，希望能深化全民的識詐能力，守護自己的荷包。
