10 new cute animal species move into Shoushan Zoo

Shoushan Zoo is getting ready for the New Year with a whole lineup of new residents. There’s white pelicans that glow in the sunlight, tiny goats that freeze when they hear a noise, and Patagonian maras, which are a cross between a capybara and a rabbit. These adorable animals have already become a hit at the Kaohsiong zoo, delighting visitors of all ages.
Chew, chew, chew! These animals are irresistibly cute. With the big head of a capypara, tall bunny years ears and slender legs, the Patagonian mara has become an instant hit at Shoushan Zoo.

They have big ears like a rabbit. Look at its butt! It shakes side to side as it walks. So cute!
There’s also diminutive pygmy goats. At just 40 to 50cm tall, kids and kids at heart love them.
Another new resident is a pelican so white it seems to glow in the sun. Its beak and pouch allow it to swallow fish whole. Another popular animal is the fainting goat, which stiffens and falls over when startled, much like a football player flopping. They are adorable.

They have a congenital condition called myotonia. The reaction is triggered when they get startled, be it noises, impacts or changes in light. That’s why they’re called fainting goats.
As the year comes to a close, 10 new animal species are moving into Shoushan Zoo. Pelicans, pygmy goats, kunekune pigs, Patagonian maras and long-haired fainting goats have already debuted, and more will join once they complete their quarantine.

萌! 壽山動物園"新朋友" 鵜鶘.侏儒羊.兔豚報到

新的一年即將到來，高雄壽山動物園也有新朋友加入，包括有大大喉囊的鵜鶘、小巧可愛的侏儒羊、像兔子又像水豚的兔豚、以及會突然僵住不動的昏倒羊等等，一個比一個可愛，在歲末年終之際，與市民相見歡。
腮幫子不斷晃動，可愛的覓食模樣，有著水豚君的大頭，卻有長耳朵和長長的腳，這是壽山動物園新引進的兔豚，小朋友先睹為快。

“耳朵像兔子長長的，你看牠屁股這樣，整個看起來搖來搖去，有夠可愛。”
還有這個小巧可愛的侏儒羊，身高只有 40、50 公分，十分嬌小，融化大小朋友的心。
而全身雪白，在太陽光下發光的白鵜鶘，也是新報到的朋友，有巨大的嘴巴和喉囊可以把一整隻魚吞下。另外，也很受到小朋友喜愛的昏倒羊，當受到驚嚇時，肌肉會突然僵直而摔倒，就像足球員假摔一樣，十分逗趣。

“先天性的肌強直症的狀況，當牠發生有一些比較突然的聲音巨響，或者是受到一些衝擊，或者是光線等等，就會發生這樣的現象，所以叫做昏倒羊。”
歲末年終，壽山動物園一口氣引進十種新動物進駐，鵜鶘、侏儒羊、庫你庫你豬、兔豚、長毛昏倒羊率先亮相，其他的目前還在檢疫中，不久後就會和大家見面。
