Runaway workers descend utility pole to flee from police

The police were called when a group of men caused a commotion amid a heated argument late Tuesday night in Taoyuan. The men turned out to be undocumented runaway migrant workers, and in the face of law enforcement, personal grievances were set aside as they tried to make a getaway from the second floor of the building they were in. Let’s see how it went down.
One by one, three men slide down the utility pole. They quickly run off upon landing. Zoom over, and it appears that they’re escaping from the police. The men turn out to be runaway migrant workers embroiled in personal dispute.
Past 11 p.m. Tuesday, the Taoyuan police received a call that the workers were fighting in a building on Minchuan Road in Guanyin District. They were in a heated argument, and even had clubs in hand. The police swiftly arrived to deal with the case.
As soon as the police arrived, the workers immediately gave up their fight and tried to escape. Some were seen rushing down the staircase, but there were already officers at the doorstep. And so they just as quickly turned back and looked for another way out. Two of them, of Vietnamese nationality, were arrested on the spot. One of them is a runaway migrant worker, who was then handed over to immigration authorities for deportation.

We caught the Vietnamese men on the spot, respectively surnamed Lê and Nguyen. Lê is a runaway migrant worker. After questioning, Lê was transferred to Taoyuan City Specialized Operation Brigades. We’ll continue to track down and apprehend the remaining runaway migrant workers.
The police said they’ll continue to track down the three other men, who do not have documented immigration status.

鳥獸散! 桃園觀音移工爆糾紛 見警心虛"爬電線桿"落跑

週二晚上十一點多，桃園觀音民權路，多名外籍移工，因為不明原因發生糾紛，警方獲報到場，這群移工立刻鳥獸散，有人眼看樓梯被警方堵住，乾脆從二樓爬電線桿下樓開溜。
三名男子，一前一後從二樓，沿電線桿溜下來，落地後小跑步落跑，往旁邊瞧才發現，原來警車就在附近，原來他們涉入一起外籍移工糾紛案件。
週二晚上十一點多，桃園警方接到報案，觀音民權路有多名外籍移工糾紛，發生口角甚至持有棍棒，員警立刻前往處理。
警察到場時，前一秒還吵得不可開交的外籍移工，瞬間鳥獸散，有人衝下樓，發現不妙，下面也有員警，趕快回頭往別地方跑。儘管拚盡全力落跑，還是有兩名越南籍男子當場被逮，其中一人是逃逸移工，被解送歸案。

“當場查獲黎姓及阮姓越南籍男子，黎男為失聯移工，警詢後將黎男解送桃園市專勤隊歸案，並持續追查其餘在逃移工，積極查緝到案。”
爆發衝突的幾名移工，有人涉及違法居留，警方也持續追查，另外三名參與衝突的在逃移工下落。
