Taoyuan discount store labels carts as stolen to combat theft

Due to its large size and number of customers, one 4,000-square-meter discount store in Taoyuan has struggled to combat theft. The owner came up with a unique tactic:
These blue shopping carts are neatly stacked, but there’s something odd about them. The phrase “this one is stolen” is written on each one. This left many customers confused, but the store owner explained his reasoning.

Since there have continuously been cases of theft here, we marked the shopping carts to say “this one is stolen.” That way, if people see one outside, they can call the police, because it really has been stolen.
The carts were labeled purposefully to combat theft. This 4,000-square-meter store in Taoyuan offers all kinds of discounted products, and people come for the cheap prices. But even with security cameras set up, the store is so large and has so many customers that it has struggled with theft. Labeling shopping baskets as stolen directs people to call the police if they see one outside the store.
Beyond thieves, there was even a customer who spit betel nut into one of the displays.

Other customers had a bad experience because he spat betel nut into the display sample. So when they were shopping, they saw a lump of spit. It was really gross. We reported him for violating the Waste Disposal Act.
The owner already contacted the police and hopes customers like that will stay away in the future.

桃園有間1200坪大型賣場，因為商品種類多，時常發生偷竊亂象，老闆也祭出絕招，把賣場的購物籃，全部都標註「這台是偷來的」。
藍色購物推車一個個堆疊，仔細一看，斗大白字寫著「這台是偷來的」，有不少顧客看到後滿頭問號，當場愣住，老闆來解答。

"因為我們這邊有都是一直或許都有一些竊案的，所以我們就把我們的那個生產工具，把它打成說這一台是偷來的，那外邊的路人看到的話可以直接報警，因為這臺真的是偷來。"
原來這不是惡作劇，而是老闆的「防偷奇招」。桃園中山路這間1200坪大型特賣場，有各式各樣琳瑯滿目的商品，就是靠優惠價吸引民眾來撿便宜，但也因為賣場大、人流多，儘管到處都是監視器，仍難免還是有漏網之魚。購物籃標註"這台是台來的"，至少被小偷順手牽羊時，外面的民眾可以幫忙報警。
除了得和小偷鬥智，還有缺德的客人把檳榔汁，吐進展示樣品裡。

"我覺得不太好，就是既然要吃檳榔，就是我覺得是比較適合去找個垃圾桶丟棄。"

"客人的感受很差，因為他那是樣品，他吐在裡面一坨，然後買東西看到那一坨(檳榔)痰，那是很髒的東西，我們去檢舉他，因為他這違反那個廢棄物清理法。"
老闆無奈的說，目前已經報警處理，這樣的客人他們一點都不歡迎。
