Unseated child causes flight to delay landing in Kaohsiung

A child who would not sit down disrupted the tail end of a recent flight from Hong Kong to Kaohsiung. The plane was getting ready for landing in Taiwan, when the pilot requested air traffic control to delay landing, as the child was not seated. The flight did an extra circle and ultimately landed safely. But the incident has gone viral online, with people weighing in on what they would have done if they had been passengers on the plane. In this instance, they were at quite a high altitude before landing, so they had the time. The pilot requested permission from air traffic control to circle around, to handle the situation. Once all the passengers, including the child, were safely seated, the pilot then continued with the landing. Everything they did was in accordance with standard operating procedures.
A retired pilot says that the aircraft’s pilot was following established rules. He also urged travelers to heed all instructions from flight attendants, to ensure a safe journey.

日前一架國籍航空，原訂從香港飛往高雄，準備降落高雄國際機場時，由於機上有一名小朋友沒有坐，機師知情後，立刻向塔台申請暫緩降落，最終在空中盤旋一圈後才平安落地，消息曝光後引發網路熱議。

“想跟您報告，空服員報告，有一個小朋友還沒有坐好，沒有坐好我們就不能落地，我想這邊跟你申請，我在空中做一個盤旋”

“我可能會就是強行的抱住他吧，因為其實降落的時候，對孩子來說，耳朵會非常不舒服，而且他們這個年紀，又要他們單獨，獨自就是坐住綁安全帶，其實非常困難”

“這次應該是在落地之前高度比較高，時間也比較充裕，所以他就直接跟航管申請了一個盤旋，然後讓整件事情做一個良善，妥善的處置之後呢，也就是所有乘客，包含小朋友都坐在位置上，他才做繼續降落的動作，所以一切的作為都是符合SOP的”
前機師強調，當事機師一切遵照SOP流程，沒有問題！同時也呼籲民眾降落前務必遵照空服員指示，以確保飛航安全。
