A row of cars parked in an outdoor lot in Kaohsiung were recently all wrapped up in plastic covers. A construction site next to the lot was pouring concrete, and to prevent any dust from being blown onto the cars and damaging the paint, the crew put protective covers over the vehicles.
The cars in this lot all have white plastic covers, like giant shower caps blowing in the wind. This is an outdoor lot by the intersection of Jiuru and Dacheng roads in Kaohsiung.

Why did they cover the cars like this? The neighboring construction site was pouring concrete. Concerned that cement slurry would splash onto the vehicles, they put protective coverings on them.

If it splashes onto the cars, we have to cover the damage. In the past we’ve had to pay NT$20,000 to NT$30,000 for one car.
Construction workers spent the morning covering nearly 80 cars. If one wanted to leave, workers had to go back and take the cover off. Even though it’s annoying for drivers to wait for them to take the cover off, it’s better than their car being covered in spots from cement spray.

It’s better than the car getting sprayed. Once the cement dries, it hardens, and the cost of cleaning it can get into the thousands, even the tens of thousands.

It’s unusual to see cars wrapped up like this. While it causes an extra hassle for the construction workers and drivers, it prevents any cement from damaging the vehicles.

高雄市三民區一處戶外停車場上演車輛集體"打包"的奇特景觀。原來是隔壁的建築工地正在將進行混凝土灌漿，為了防止水泥粉塵與泥漿隨風飛濺、毀損周邊車烤漆，工地在灌漿期間乾脆派出人力駐守停車場，幫停放車輛一一套上防護套。
汽車一台台通通罩上白色塑膠套，彷彿都被戴上巨型浴帽，像是在集體泡澡，這有趣的景象就發生在高雄九如和大昌路口的戶外停車場。

“這停車場奇景到底怎麼回事?我們往旁邊一看，原來隔壁工地正在進行灌漿工程，擔心泥水噴濺，才會將車子通通裝上防護套。”

“噴到也是叫我們一定要賠償，之前一台就賠了兩、三萬。”
工地直接派人駐守停車場，來一台、蓋一台，早上到下午就蓋了將近80台，遇到有車子要離開，還得趕緊回收防護套，重複再利用。車主想取車，得像拆禮物一樣，多花兩分鐘"解封"，雖然麻煩，但至少愛車不會變成長滿雀斑的小花車。

“總比那個車子被(噴到)，因為那個水泥乾掉硬掉，美容費一台都要好幾千塊甚至破萬。”

“對啊，不錯啊，非常好啊，這樣用起來才不會傷到車。”
車輛集體打包的奇特景觀，成了溫馨有趣的一幕。工地灌漿時期的非常手段，雖然多少造成不便，但也避免了工地和車主間的水泥噴濺糾紛。
