
The Israel-Hamas war continues to rage one month after it began. Israel’s representative office in Taiwan has received an outpouring of support from locals, who have sent in flowers and cards. Israel’s representative Maya Yaron said she was moved by the gestures and grateful for the kindness of Taiwan.

These as you can see, they are not soldiers. They are people like you, and as you can see here … kindness of the people of Taiwan. And this is amazing and so touching.
One of the handwritten cards reads: “We care about the hostages. We call on Hamas to please let the hostages go home.” Another says simply: “Peace and hope for Israel.” One local made 241 bears out of towels, to represent the number of hostages taken by Hamas.

“這些人質你們可以看到,他們不是軍人,他們是一些跟你們一樣的人。而你們可以看到,是很多台灣善良的人送來的,這些真的很令人驚喜,非常令人感動。”
一個月來,不少民眾這段期間,送上花束、甚至寫了滿滿卡片送到代表處,上頭寫著"我們關心人質、請讓他們回家"、為以色列祈禱"等字樣,還有人用毛巾做成241隻小熊、這數字代表被綁架的人數。
