Ahead of May 20, performers in the inauguration ceremony are busy rehearsing for the big day. The Paper Windmill Theatre has put together a show featuring 200 children from across Taiwan. The performance is based on three Hakka songs and will showcase the Hakka people’s diverse culture.
One highlight of the show has already been delivered to the performance venue. It’s the "Rain Horse," a giant blue horse with a rainbow mane. It cut a striking figure against the Presidential Office building on Wednesday. According to the theater group, the rainbow-colored mane symbolizes peace that comes after adversity, and it’s a blessing for Taiwan’s next president and all of its people.
