New Taipei City Government holding job fairs with thousands of openings in June

If you’re looking for a job, look no further than New Taipei City. During this month, its Labor Affairs Department is holding a series of job fairs. At the first event, a total of 54 companies set up booths, offering more than 3,000 job openings. Our very own FTV reporter Stephany Yang spoke to the organizers to find out more.
Jobseekers fill out the forms carefully and prepare for their interviews.
There is also an augmented reality technology booth onsite, allowing jobseekers to experience a simulation of a work environment and practice interview questions. In New Taipei’s first job fair for the summer, 54 companies offered 3,000 job openings, including 990 part-time positions. The highest salary offered was NT$70,000, attracting many job seekers.

According to the New Taipei Labor Affairs Department, nearly 50% of job vacancies are in the hotel and catering industry. That’s followed by the retail sales industry, which accounts for 21%, and the technology manufacturing industry, accounting for 13%.

There is still a serious shortage of workers in the catering, hotel, and accommodation industries. The entire environment is also experiencing a shortage of workers. Therefore, one-third of our 3,000 vacancies this time are for part-time workers, which means there is a shortage of workers. To make use of these limited labor forces, public institutions have developed these so-called flexible vacancies.
After this job fair, the New Taipei Labor Affairs Department will launch three more job recruitment activities on June 12, June 20, and June 21.

新北市政府勞工局舉辦的「新北市就業博覽會」，一共有54家廠商報名，開出多達3000職缺，最高薪資七萬，吸引許多求職者前來。
前來求職的民眾，仔細填寫表單，拿著履歷表準備面試。
現場設有AR/VR科技求才攤位，以最新科技帶領求職者模擬工作環境及面試問答。新北市就業博覽會盛大登場，這次總共有54家廠商共襄盛舉，提供超過3000個工作機會，包括990個兼職職缺，最高70K攬才，吸引大批的民眾前來參與。

隨著暑假旅遊旺季即將到來，現場職缺有將近5成，為旅宿餐飲業，其次為零售量販業占比2成1、科技製造業占比1成3。

"整個餐營業旅宿業還是缺工滿嚴重的，整個大環境也算是缺工，所以我們這次3000這職缺裡面，有3分之1的職缺都是兼職的工作者，代表缺工的情況下，事業單位為了要去運用這些能夠有限的勞動力，就開發這些所謂的彈性職缺的職缺"
新北市政府勞工局將在6/12、6/20、6/21，陸續推出三場徵才活動，希望有求職和轉職需求的民眾，都可以進順利入職場。
