
Today we take you to a Taipei restaurant that serves up delicacies from different countries. From June to August, diners can enjoy eight Honduran dishes. FTV reporter Stephany Yang takes us in for a taste!
The first dish is pupusa. It’s stuffed with beef, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, smoked spices, and cheese.

Normal people will think that pupusa is only from El Salvador. El Salvador actually shares a very long border with Honduras so they have the same culture as well. Pupusa is made of corn flour and with different kind of stuffings. Usually, they will use cheeses or can also use pork, beef, or chicken. This time, we chose beef to be our pupusa.
Next up is Honduran fried chicken with salsa and plantain chips. Honduran cuisine is a fusion of Spanish, Caribbean, Mesoamerican, and African cuisines. This restaurant in Taipei is offering a three-month culinary event.

Honduras are well known by the world for their banana production. They export bananas. Once they were a major exporter of whole banana globally. It is quite natural that they have bananas in their daily diet. Every single dishes in Honduras including fried chicken, steak and every kind of things will be accompanied by banana chips. This time, we also showed their traditional fried chicken with banana chips.
The owner of the restaurant is Camilo Cheng. He founded the restaurant in 2015, and every few months, he spotlights cuisines from different countries. After backpacking in Honduras, he decided to develop a menu serving up Honduran cuisine. The menu includes minced beef salad, bean bolognese, a baked tortilla stuffed with egg, cheese and frijoles, pork belly with deep-fried cassava, red bean soup with pork rib, and a cinnamon honey doughnut.

Although we don’t have a direct flight to Honduras and it takes more than 30 hours departing from Taipei to Honduras, but Honduras is really quite a magnificent country. People are nice and you can experience the well-known Maya Ruins. This time, I want to present my experiences in Honduras and bring back my memories to our customers to experience the Honduran dishes.
The restaurant’s “culinary months” have featured dishes from countries including Saint Kitts and Nevis, Belize, Haiti, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia and Chile. The restaurant will serve up Honduran cuisine till the end of August.

今天帶大家去台北一家吃得到多國美食的餐廳,從六月到八月,饕客可以享用八種宏都拉斯菜餚,一起去品嘗。
第一道菜是宏都拉斯牛肉起士餡餅。內餡是滿滿的牛肉、洋蔥、青椒、番茄、煙燻香料和起司。

“通常人們會認為餡餅只來自薩爾瓦多。實際上,因薩爾瓦多與宏都拉斯之間的邊界關係,他們也有相同的文化。餡餅是由玉米粉和不同的餡料製成的,一般他們會使用乳酪,也可以使用豬肉、牛肉或雞肉。這次我們選擇了牛肉。”
接下來是宏都拉斯髒髒炸雞搭配莎莎醬及大蕉脆片。宏都拉斯美食融合了西班牙、加勒比海、中美洲和非洲美食。這家位於台北的餐廳將舉辦為期三個月的美食活動。

"宏都拉斯以香蕉產業而聞名,也是他們主要出口至國際的一項商品。他們將香蕉作為日常飲食的一部分。宏都拉斯的料理,包括炸雞或牛排都會搭配香蕉脆片。這次我們也將他們的傳統炸雞與香蕉結合起來。"
餐廳老闆鄭訓宇於2015年創立這家餐廳,每隔幾個月就會推出不同國家的美食。他去宏都拉斯背包旅行後,他決定開發宏都拉斯美食的菜單。菜單包括宏都拉斯式碎牛肉沙拉、 起司豆泥肉醬佐脆片、傳統起司土泥烤餅、宏都拉斯經典酥炸木醬佐炸豬肉、宏都拉斯豬小排紅豆湯和肉桂蜜漬甜甜圈。

"雖然我們沒有直飛宏都拉斯的航班,從台北到宏都拉斯需要30多個小時,但宏都拉斯確實是一個相當美麗的國家,人們都很友善,你可以體驗著名的瑪雅遺址。這次,我想向大家展示我在宏都拉斯的經歷,以及對宏都拉斯美食的回憶。"
餐廳的「美食月」過去曾舉辦過來自聖克里斯多福及尼維斯、貝里斯、海地、聖文森及格瑞那丁、聖露西亞及智利美食。宏都拉斯美食月活動將持續至八月底。
