Angler takes a plunge after fish pulls him into pond

An angler in Taichung took a plunge this past Sunday after a grouper pulled him right into the pond he was fishing at. His fall created a big splash that alerted his friends and other fellow fishermen at the venue, who came to his rescue. With groupers sometimes growing bigger than 100kg, it’s best to be prepared for a forceful tussle to avoid getting dunked.
An angler at the saltwater pond got really excited after his rod started to move. He stood up and pulled on the line to show off his fishing skills. But somehow, the tussle with the fish was not easy, and the fish ended up winning the battle, sending the man tumbling into the water with a huge splash.

If you don’t pull hard enough, you get pulled in. They can be more than 60kg, or even 120kg.
The angler took a plunge at a recreational fishing pond in Taichung’s Longjing District on Sunday evening. He and a couple of friends had come together to catch grouper, and they happened to bait one weighing at least 12kg. Some grouper species, such as the giant grouper, are especially hard to catch.

Big giant groupers are very strong, and tussling with them can sometimes result in incidents like that.
Experts say larger giant groupers can weigh more than 100kg. If you’re fishing, remember to keep a safe distance from the water and make sure you have the right equipment, or you could end up having a wet encounter.

人被魚拖下水！台中龍井區，有民眾前往海釣場釣石斑，結果不敵大石斑掙扎拉扯，整個人被拖入水池裡，濺起大量水花，其他民眾見狀嚇壞，合力上前將人拉上岸。其他業者透露，石斑魚並不好釣，會有強勁的衝勁和拉力，挑戰前得做足準備。##
男子來到海釣池，等待大魚上鉤，突然釣竿有了動靜，男子立馬起身，準備大顯身手，只是沒料到，男子不敵大魚掙扎，一路被拖著走，最後重心不穩，華麗落水，濺起超大水花。

事發在台中龍井這間海釣場，27號晚間，釣客和友人來到這，挑戰釣石斑，粗估石斑魚重量，至少有20斤，其他海釣場業者也透露，如果釣的是龍膽石斑，難度更高。

其他專家也透露，體型比較大的石斑魚，重量可能破百斤，釣魚時，要和池子保持安全距離，裝備也得經過挑選，否則一不小心，被魚釣走。
