A Taiwanese marching band has put Taiwan on the map with a spectacular performance at an international competition in Indonesia. The Chien Kuo High School won the top prize at the World Association of Marching Show Bands World Championships in Jakarta. Despite its name, the band does not just comprise students from the Taipei school, but also from several other high schools and universities in Taiwan. Their show, titled, “Can you hear me?” featured precise formation changes, as well as a powerful emotion-filled message. Let’s take a look.
Upon hearing that they had won, the students leapt in the air screaming in celebration and hugging each other. It’s the first time for the marching band to make its way to the top of the board since 2018. Now the title is back home once again.
