Two mango trees in Taichung have recently gone viral. When someone was driving by, they noticed a tire around the base of each tree. But the trees are so big, there’s no way they went over the branches or under the roots. So how did they get there? Some people said it must be magic, while others suggested the tires were covered in lotion to slip them on. FTV visited the landowner to find out the truth.
A passerby inspects a tree from every side, curious about something. It turns out there’s a tire wrapped tightly around the base of the tree!
It wasn’t cut open. How did it get there?
It’s not just this tree, but the one next to it also seems to be growing out of a tire. How did this happen? This person asked the internet to get an answer.
Some people said it’s a magic trick, or that they used lotion.
Our reporter visited these trees on Siwei Street in Taichung’s Dali District to ask the landowner in person. He said his father put these two mango trees in the tires 20 years ago when they were still small.

When I was young, he put the trees in tires when they were still small because he didn’t want dogs peeing on them.
As the trees grew to six meters tall and 40 centimeters around, the tires got tighter and tighter. But can the tires really prevent dogs from peeing on the trees?

Some dogs still pee on them, and small dogs even squat on the tire to pee.
Another fantastical tree can be found at the National Taiwan Museum of Comics, where a banyan tree engulfed a motorcycle in its roots. It looks like the tree came alive and devoured the motorcycle, like something straight out of a comic book.

台中市大里區，有2棵芒果樹，紅上了網路!民眾騎車經過，發現樹底部竟然圍著輪胎，既不可能由樹枝往下壓，更不可能跳過根部，到底是怎麼套上去的呢?有網友搞笑說，是在變魔術嗎?還是幫輪胎抹了乳液?記者實地找到屋主，為大家解惑!
民眾拿起手機，這邊拍拍，那邊拍拍，到底是有多令人好奇?湊近看看，這樹木的底部，套著一個輪胎!
“也沒有割開，是怎麼套進去的”
不只這一棵，隔壁的還有一棵，到底這兩個輪胎，怎麼套上去的?民眾PO上網問，得到的答案!
“有人說，是變魔術，還是用乳液去套的”
來到台中市大里區四維街，記者找到屋主，他解釋，這兩棵是芒果樹，20年前，還是小小的芒果株，屋主的父親，就各套上輪胎。

“我還小的時候，怕被(狗狗)尿尿，在樹小的時候，就套進去了”
隨著芒果樹長成約6公尺高，直徑大約40公分，輪胎也越卡越緊，是說，這真的能防止狗狗靠近樹根尿尿嗎?

“但還是有狗會尿尿在上面，小型犬屁股還蹲在上面尿尿”
樹木奇景，還國家漫畫博物館園區內，老榕樹"包覆"舊機車及自行車，民眾戲稱，這就是被漫畫中的樹怪吃掉，相當有奇幻氛圍。
