Banquets in Southern Taiwan tend to be extravagant affairs, but a wedding banquet on Sunday might just have been the swankiest one held in recent years. Guests were treated to a feast for all the senses, and not just due to the lavish servings of sashimi, shark fin soup and other staples. There were also Ferris wheels of abalone burgers, all-you-can-drink freshly squeezed juice and even one enormous tub of ice-cream per person.
A pyramid of ice cream makes its grand entrance to “oohs” and “aahs” from diners. And there’s no need to share. It’s one tub per person!
Inside the gift boxes are lavish platters of sashimi and mullet roe. On the table, a Ferris wheel of abalone burgers, and in the hot pot, ingredients carved and assembled into colorful roses. There’s even American-style ribs enveloped in a cloud of dry ice. It’s as over-the-top as it gets.

Every dish was a feast for the eyes and mouth. The most memorable one was the hot pot, which had rose-shaped ingredients.
A newlywed couple went all-out to promote Southern Taiwan’s banquet culture, hosting a massive feast for relatives, friends and 100 lucky netizens. Every dish was spectacular. What’s more, the drinks were too, with bottomless freshly-squeezed fruit juice, and exquisite desserts. After the eating was over, each guest got a large bag of fruit to take home.

We started planning this banquet two weeks ago, and spared no expense. It was a resounding success.
The banquet operator is part of the family, so no detail was too much for the grand event. Guests were delighted at the abundance, mouths full of praise and delicious food.

台南昨天一場午宴料理簡直浮誇到沒有極限！不僅有超好吃的魚翅羹和超震撼的摩天輪鮑魚漢堡，還有一人一桶的冰淇淋和一人一袋的水果，讓網友直呼南部辦桌沒有最狂，只有更狂。
推車上載滿堆積如山的冰淇淋，讓全場驚呼連連，因為可不是一桌一桶，而是一人一桶。
賓客打開禮盒來，盒內裝有生魚片和烏魚子等高檔美食，擺盤還超級精美。另外還有摩天輪造型的鮑魚漢堡、玫瑰花造型的火鍋料，美式肋排現烤還搭配乾冰秀等等，讓賓客大讚，一道比一道還要浮誇。

“每一道上來就是視覺和味覺的雙重享受，印象最深刻的是他們有一道，裡面他有下火鍋料給我們，火鍋料做成玫瑰花的形狀。”
為了推廣南部經典的辦桌文化，台南這一對新人結婚家宴，除了有親朋好友到場，還特別開放給100名網友報名參加，雖然是辦桌外燴，但每一道料理都不馬虎，主餐令人驚豔，飲品還是現打果汁無限暢飲，就連甜點都很精緻，飯後水果給得也不手軟，你沒看錯，就是一人一大袋，讓賓客帶回家。

業者是新人的家人，因為是家宴，因此這一場辦桌不計成本，也讓來參與的賓客直呼賺到了，更對傳統辦桌好感度大大提升。
