Global financial summit to boost Taiwan’s international visibility

2026-08-24

An international financial summit known as Taiwan Weeks 2026 will be held in November. At a recent press event, Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman Peng Jin-lung said the upcoming series of events will link Taiwanese financial companies and government with their global counterparts, as Taiwan moves towards becoming an Asian asset management center. Let’s find out more.

An a cappella vocal group kicks off this event with an innovative musical style.

The Financial Supervisory Commission, together with the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the Taipei Exchange, and other related securities and futures organizations, hold a launch ceremony to announce that the international financial event Taiwan Weeks 2026 will have its grand opening in November.

Peng Jin-lung
Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman
I believe the second Taiwan Weeks will become an important platform for us to connect the government, the financial sector, and international partners in cooperation. Taiwan Weeks has three main objectives: first, to showcase Taiwan to the world; second, to drive investment in Taiwan; and third, to strengthen Taiwan’s connections with the world. Taiwan Weeks is also the best stage to showcase the direction of the government’s future policies.

This two-week Taiwan Weeks event has seen its scale upgraded this year. It not only covers seven main themes including Taiwan as an Asian asset management center, AI and financial innovation, but forums and large-scale exhibitions will also be held in Taipei and Kaohsiung. This year also marks the first time for the Asian Corporate Governance Association’s annual meeting to be held in Taiwan, attracting domestic and foreign financial professionals, as well as representatives from industry, government and academia.

Peng Jin-lung
Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman
The past two years have clearly boosted the momentum of Taiwan’s asset management market, with the overall asset management scale increasing by more than NT$14 trillion. Taiwan continues to move towards becoming an Asian asset management center.

From a technology island to a capital island, the Financial Supervisory Commission connects the multi-tiered market, including the Taiwan Innovation Board and listed companies, and actively promotes a platform for investment in Asian innovation, allowing the world to see Taiwan’s financial prowess.
