Taiwan booth shines at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin

Germany’s capital, Berlin hosted this year’s InnoTrans the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology. For the first time, Taiwan participated with a national pavilion, led by the Railway Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. They brought together 14 industry, government, academic, and research institutions. An additional 26 companies also exhibited independently at InnoTrans, bringing the total number of Taiwanese companies to a whopping 40. Taiwan’s strong presence at the fair indicates the rail industry’s growing strength and ambitions.

InnoTrans, the world’s largest transportation technology trade fair celebrated its 30th anniversary in Berlin this year. This also marks the first time a Taiwan pavilion has exhibited. The Railway Bureau brought together a team of 14 partners to participate.

Constructing railway tracks showcases a country’s engineering, technological, and manufacturing capabilities. Taiwan is not lacking in any of these, but we do need stronger integration skills.

The Taiwan Pavilion, themed “Rail Resilience Technology Partners,” showcased recent achievements alongside plans for global expansions. Held biennially, InnoTrans brings together global transport authorities, railway operators, system integrators, and component manufacturers under one roof, serving as a crucial platform.

Aside from AI, Taiwan has made considerable progress in railway construction. Over the last 100 years, Taiwan has invested in rail infrastructure. In the next decade, our Railway Bureau is planning the overall development of Taiwan’s railway industry.

During the exhibition, Chen Shih-kai engaged with other exhibitors and visited the pavilions of Germany, France, South Korea, Austria, and Japan to gain insights into industry trends.

柏林軌道展首度出現台灣館! 交通部攜手產官學研展現台灣實力

全球規模最大的軌道及運輸科技展，22日到25日在德國柏林舉行，台灣今年首度以「國家館」形式來參展，由交通部鐵道局集結14家產官學研單位，另外還有26家業者在展場其他區域，合計40家台灣業者搶進國際市場，展現台灣軌道產業的整合實力。

全球規模最大的軌道運輸科技展，2026德國柏林國際交通運輸技術展覽會今年已經30年了，第一次出現台灣館，由交通部鐵道局籌設，集結14個相關單位，以國家館形式參展。

“軌道的建設，鐵道的建設，代表一個國家的，工程能力科技能力，還有製造的能力，這些方面其實台灣都不缺乏，不過我們需要，更強大的整合能力”

台灣館以軌道韌性技術合作夥伴為主題，除了展現這些年來的豐碩成果，也拓展全球的合作版圖。柏林軌道展每兩年舉辦一次，匯聚全球交通主管機關、鐵路營運機構、系統整合商及零組件製造商，是技術交流的重要平台。

這次的展會期間，陳世凱部長跟參展業者深入交流，也參訪德國、法國、韓國、奧地利、日本等國的運輸代表企業，掌握趨勢。
