An alleged argument over pocket money ended up with a man jumping onto the tracks at Tainan Railway Station on Wednesday evening. The 20-year-old man leapt from the platform just as a train was approaching. But thankfully, staff and other passengers were quick to react and pulled him back up just in time. Fortunately, tragedy was averted, but police have referred him for legal action. Let’s hear more.

During an argument with his mother, Mr. Lo lost control of his emotions and jumped onto the tracks, which caused train number 168 to stop outside Tainan Railway Station, causing a 2-minute delay.
The man was allegedly arguing with his mother because he’d run out of pocket money. The fight became so intense, that he ended up jumping off the platform and onto the tracks. The station master was immediately alerted, and the train was told to stop outside the station, averting tragedy. The man was pulled back up onto the platform with scratched his knees and still visibly upset. He was then sent to the hospital. Police say that crossing over the track result in fines of NT$10,000 to NT$50,000, and in severe cases up to NT$100,000.

台南火車站，週三晚間六點多上演了一幕驚心動魄的生死瞬間！一名二十歲的男子，眾目睽睽之下直接跳下鐵軌！當時台鐵168車次列車即將進站，還好現場的值班人員反應快，奮不顧身跳下軌道救人，旁邊的熱心乘客也衝上前合力把人硬拉上來，才沒釀成慘劇，調查後警方也將他依法送辦。

把他拉上來。”

“經查羅姓男子與母親發生爭執，一時情緒失控，跳下軌道，影響台鐵168車次，於台南車站外臨時停車，造成列車誤點兩分鐘。”
這名男子疑似因為缺了零用錢，和母親爆發激烈爭執，一時想不開就衝到月台跳軌。鐵路警緊急通報站長，要求司機員暫停在站外，還好迅速化解危機。男子在這場脫序過程，膝蓋擦傷而且情緒極不穩定，由救護人員協助先強制送醫。警方也強調，依照鐵路法，行人不得在鐵路路線通行，違者可罰一到五萬罰鍰，情節重大可處十萬以下罰鍰。
