Taiwan team rescues third survivor from collapsed building in Turkey

Taiwan’s search and rescue personnel in Turkey are continuing to work round the clock to help out in the aftermath of the earthquake. And more good news has come out with the rescue of a 35-year old woman from a collapsed building, a whole four days after the quake. The entire operation took nearly 20 hours after she was detected at 2:37 a.m. on Thursday, local time.

This footage shows the survivor’s father thanking a team member with a hug and a handshake as locals looked on with joy. So far, the team from Taiwan has rescued three people from the debris. And Taiwan is not just helping on the ground. According to the health ministry, as of Thursday, a total of more than NT$83.5 million from more than 8,000 sources had been donated into the government’s special disaster relief account.

台灣搜救隊挺進土耳其,在當地時間10號凌晨2時37分,又在瓦礫堆中發現一名35歲女子,她被水泥柱壓在下面整整4天,經過台灣和土耳其救援人員的積極搶救,歷經將近20小時,終於成功將人救出。

畫面上可以看到傷患父親非常感謝,給予台灣的救員英雄,深深擁抱,附近民眾也高喊"阿拉奇蹟"。這也是台灣隊搜救以來,發現的第三名受困災民。台灣搜救隊前線救人,台灣人也用力送暖,衛福部土耳其震災專案,統計到2月9號為止,總共收到8148筆、高達8353萬多元的善款。
