The first girl group from Taiwan has debuted in South Korea’s competitive entertainment industry. GENBLUE has six members, all from Taiwan. The members have just landed in Korea for a nine-month bootcamp, and released their first song in Korean. As well as the usual K-pop skills of singing and dancing, these young women are working hard on their language skills.
Taiwanese girl group GENBLUE say hi to fans in Korean. They’re in Korea for a training course of nine months.
They’ve gone through a big makeover for this song, the first Korean language release for the group, which was produced for them by HYBE, a well-known Korean entertainment company.
The six members of the group are aged 15 to 24. To pursue success in Korea, they’re working hard on their Korean language skills, and spend at least an hour in the gym each day. Nico says she relies on yoga and fruit to keep in shape. Ayako says salad is the key to her healthy skin. And Yuan-yuan grew her hair over 30 cm long for this music video – you can imagine how long she spends washing it.
GENBLUE is the first girl group from Taiwan to debut in Korea. There’s high hopes pinned on these six young women to bring Taiwan international fame and fandom.
