
Taiwan’s anti-fraud hotline, the 165, prevented more than NT$20 billion from being lost to scammers in 2024. Hotline workers work every day of the year round the clock to provide assistance to victims and process reports. On Thursday, Premier Cho Jung-tai paid the workers a visit to thank them for their work, which will continue unstopped during the Lunar New Year holidays. Let’s hear more.

The 165 anti-fraud hotline processed more than 550,000 incidents last year, an increase of 10.8% from the year before. It has prevented the loss of more than NT$300 million in fraud schemes.

For victims who don’t realize they are being scammed, we assign senior officials to review their situation, to provide care and guidance.
The hotline has a new focus for 2025, which is to provide better care for victims. It is moving to establish a special task force to warn people of potential dangers sooner. The hotline itself will also be optimized. AI technology will be introduced to simplify the report process and improve the effectiveness of fraud prevention efforts.

114年更訂定新目標,重點放在"被害人關懷",預計成立"詐欺防制諮詢小組",即早找出並喚醒受騙中的民眾。另外,165反詐騙諮詢專線也要持續優化,將導入AI技術,簡化案件受理流程,提升詐防效能。
