For a long time already, what the CCP refers to as “Members of the NPC for Taiwan Province” do not have Taiwanese citizenship. They were not born or raised in Taiwan. They’re only there as United Front mascots. When it’s time to show up, they do so to say and do something.
The Mainland Affairs Council stressed that the 13 delegates supposedly from Taiwan do not represent Taiwan’s 23 million people.

陸委會強調,這13人根本沒有台灣國籍,中國人大每年組成的這些"台灣省人大代表",完全無法代表2300萬台灣人的民意。
