Many overseas Taiwanese have flown back to their native country to cast their vote in the recall elections. On Wednesday morning, 20 of them held a press conference with the Taiwan Civil Liberties Union to urge other overseas Taiwanese to come back and vote "Yes" to recall KMT lawmakers.
A ten-day countdown begins for recall elections on July 26. Taiwanese emigrants have flown back to advocate in support of mass recalls.

If the recalls fail this time, then in the next three years, we won’t have the chance to hold recall elections again. By that time, the Legislative Yuan may actually become China’s Legislative Affairs Bureau. If we can liken red-camp lawmakers to spawning viruses, then I believe the cure is recalling them.

China knows that its success is partly dependent on the unwokeness of Taiwanese. I hope that one day, I’ll be able to tell my foreign friends proudly that my country successfully stopped a country with a population 60 times ours from invading us.
Chanting the slogan, “More than one that loves Taiwan, you and me both one in all,” more than 20 Taiwanese emigrants to different countries took to the stage of the presser and demonstrated how they’re “saving their country.” Meanwhile, the 16-day “pilgrimage” for manifesting success in recalls is soon to complete its round-the-island journey, and return to the Legislative Yuan. On Saturday evening, on the strip between Qingdao East Road and Jinan Road right outside the Legislative Yuan, a stage will be set up for a concert to celebrate.
The lineup includes music acts such as rock band The Chairman, rapper Dwagi featuring Sam Yang of Fire Ex., rock band Sorry Youth, and more.

Our target has always been to unseat all 31. During the recall campaigning process, of course we’ve encountered many difficulties and challenges, but all the recall campaign groups will persist until the end.
With just ten days to go until the recall elections on July 26, more than 20 Taiwanese expats have returned, and are holding a press conference, to urge others like them to return to Taiwan and vote “Yes.”
