
The Keelung Food Festival has begun, and this year’s focus: sushi! More than 20 restaurants are participating, offering specials for the classic combo of sushi and beer. The grand finale is to be held on Sept. 20 at Keelung Bus Station. Visitors are welcome to visit the northern port city to experience its unique culinary culture.
This dazzling array of sushi includes tender salmon and tuna, not to mention delightfully chewy squid. Just this spread alone would cause anyone’s mouth to water. But there’s also a show to come.
A chef prepares an entire fish on the spot. Skilled with the knife, he removes the finest parts, extracting a glistening tender fillet. Keelung Deputy Mayor Chiu Pei-lin was invited onstage to try her hand at assembling a piece.

People come to Keelung mostly to eat seafood. Keelung’s fishing culture has been around for over 400 years now, so the first thing you do when you come here has to be to eat. The best sushi, the freshest sashimi is in Keelung. This is the best thing about our city.
To promote Keelung’s unique maritime cuisine, the city government has invited over 20 restaurants to participate in a sushi appreciation festival. From July 1 to Sept. 30, the businesses are organizing themed parties and joint promotions for visitors to enjoy sushi paired with local beer the Keelung way.

These ingredients come from Keelung. It’s something to be very proud of. We’re now organizing these events. This year’s festival is different from last year’s. This year, we’re pairing with beer. This is very special, as you can go to 20 restaurants to get it.
The grand finale of the festival is to take place on Sept. 20 at Keelung Bus Station. At this “Black and White Sushi Appreciation Party,” professional chefs and event ambassador Andy Bian are to serve as the professional judges, while visitors are to be the laymen judges. Together, they are to evaluate the sushi on offer, allowing everyone to rate Keelung’s delicious food and have a blast while at it.

基隆今夏最「鮮」活動登場!「2025基隆美食盛典-黑白壽司賞」7月正式開跑,以壽司為主題,邀請在地超過20家壽司店,推出「吃壽司.喝啤酒」聯名派對,結合海味與沁涼,帶來道地的美食饗宴。壓軸重頭戲將在9月20日再基隆城際轉運站登場,讓民眾品味基隆的海洋飲食文化。
桌面上,擺滿琳瑯滿目的壽司,鮮嫩的鮭魚、鮪魚,還有Q彈的花枝,精緻擺盤,光看就讓人垂涎三尺,不只這樣,現場還有壽司秀。
師傅現場料理整尾紅柑,刀工俐落,取下最精華的部位,粉嫩魚肉透著光澤。還邀請基隆市副市長邱佩玲上台,一手醋飯、一手魚片,體驗職人握壽司的工法。

“其實大家來基隆啊,最主要還是為了吃海鮮而來,基隆的漁港文化,其實已經傳承了大概快四百多年,所以大家來基隆第一件事一定是海鮮。最棒的握壽司,最新鮮的生魚片一定都會在基隆,這是我們基隆最棒的特色”
為了推廣基隆獨特魅力的海洋飲食文化,基隆市今年邀請超過20家的壽司店,以「黑白壽司賞」為主題,從7月1號到9月30號推出活動,串聯在地業者共同打造主題派對與聯名行銷,讓民眾不只能吃壽司,還能搭配在地啤酒,感受專屬基隆的夏季風味。

“我的食材來自於基隆,這是非常令人驕傲的,今天我們在地,自己就辦了一個這樣子。今天的活動跟去年不太一樣,我們去年多了一個搭配啤酒,這是一個很特殊的,因為你要到20家店才有辦法做到”
不過活動壓軸,是9月20號將在基隆城際轉運站,盛大舉辦黑白壽司賞美食派對,邀請專業廚師及活動宣傳大使卞慶華擔任「白評審」,現場民眾則是擔任「黑評審」,共同參與評選,讓大家一起為基隆的美味打分數,吃得開心、玩得盡興。
