Patrons of a hot dog restaurant in Taipei watched an unexpected melodrama live for free during their dinner on Tuesday. A man and a woman starred in a roadside argument, with a plot that could be taken straight from a soap opera. With forbidden love, a deceased husband and infatuated madness, a video of the impassioned bickering has captivated audiences online.
“Woman: It’s not even seven days since he passed. How can I possibly start dating again? Do I not have to go to work? Organize the funeral service? Is going on
dates with you every day enough?
Man: Yes! You’re the main character in my story. Even if your husband hadn’t die, I’d still ask you out!”
On the roadside in an evening, a man and a woman were seen shouting at each other. Their words weren’t full of anger, but passion.
“Woman: My husband just died. And you’re asking me out already? Are you mad?
Man: Yes, I have. That’s why I like you so much! Your husband is dead, but I love you so much I might as well be too!”
It’s as if they were acting out a scene in a movie. Their lines were also reminiscent of one particular Taiwanese production.
“Yes, I’m immature. That’s why I kept pursuing you!”
The similarity really is unparalleled! So much so that witnesses of the incident couldn’t help but check if there were cameras nearby.
Before their argument ended, the woman suddenly burst into tears and hid her face. The man rushed forward and hugged her. Then they walked away holding hands.
The argument took place right outside a hotdog restaurant in Taipei’s Da’an District, making for a delightful live show for diners and passers-by.

It’s probably just a bicker, nothing serious. They’re probably fine.

I can’t help but think it’s all for show, because the contents really are quite…interesting.
Passersby were invested in the plot of their lives. But regardless of whether it’s cringeworthy or comical, next time, it’s probably best to keep it private.
