Police entertained by drunk Indian man singing at station

2025-09-24

Taichung police recently responded to a call about a drunk foreigner on the street. After they arrived, they asked the heavily intoxicated man from India where he lived, but he just kept saying, "I love Taiwan" and "I love the police." They brought him back to the station, where he suddenly burst into song, leaving the officers both amused and annoyed.

It’s hard to hear what this drunk man says at first, but his shouted “Taiwan” is clear as day. The police were actually just asking where he lives.

“Taiwan” doesn’t narrow it down. How could they take him home without an address? So the two officers brought him back to the station. But it soon became a stage for the man to burst into a heartfelt song.

They thought he was kidding, but he actually began to sing.

The male officer stands by awkwardly and can’t help but crack a smile. He even lifts and arm to sway along with the beat, giving emotional support. Maybe because of this, the man makes a confession.

This heartfelt scene took place at Jizhong Police Station in Taichung. After receiving a public report of a drunk man wandering the streets, officers went to make sure everything was safe, and discovered the 68-year-old Indian man.

The man was disoriented and unable to return home after drinking excessively. Officers first verified his identity using his EasyCard and contacted his family. The man became visibly emotional, his eyes reddening as he said, “I am Taiwanese,” “I love Taiwan,” and “I love you all.”

Officers were able to contact his family after checking his EasyCard, who quickly came to collect him. If it’s true that drinking makes you speak the truth, then this man must really love the police and Taiwan.
