
Kaohsiung’s Winter Wonderland came to an end on Sunday, after weeks of fun and thrills. Work has already begun on dismantling the fairground which was themed around Japan’s Ultraman. The two inflatables that had presided over the festivities were brought ashore and deflated on Sunday evening, under the watch of devoted fans. Some even showed up to the closing ceremony with light-up masks and hand lanterns for one last photo with Ultraman. Let’s hear more.

Ultraman brought back memories for people all ages at this year’s Kaohsiung Winter Wonderland. I would like to thank you all for the success it had. We broke records on the front of scale, as we had installations featuring Ultraman at the Love River Bay, at the High Speed Rail Station, at Kaohsiung Railway Station, at Formosa Boulevard MRT Station, Mituo, Linyuan, Chien-chen Fishing Harbor, Meinong, Shanlin, and even Liugui and Baolai.
On Sunday evening, the team from the Kaohsiung City Government and members of staff struck the classic pose one last time before everything was packed away. Moments later, the two massive inflatables slowly began losing shape as the air was let out. Since its opening on Feb. 7, the Kaohsiung Winter Wonderland tallied more than 7 million visits over 23 days, generating an estimated NT$12.6 billion in tourism revenue.

高雄冬日遊樂園活動,已經在昨天正式畫下句點,圓滿收工。昨天閉幕式結束之後,兩位力霸王被吊上岸,進行消氣,不少民眾守候在現場,帶著力霸王發光面具和小提燈,和力霸王最後一次合影。

市府團隊和工作人員最後一次擺出經典姿勢,真的要與力霸王告別了。晚間十點過後,力霸王初代和迪卡開始消氣,直挺挺的英姿瞬間消風躺平。「高雄冬日遊樂園」從2月7日開幕以來,23天來吸引超過700萬人參觀,創造逾126億元觀光產值。
