Yilan rest stop becomes favorite spot to watch sunrise over Turtle Island

The Yongzhen coast in Zhuangwei Township boasts one of the eight best views of Yilan: the sunrise over Turtle Island. However, a lack of tourist facilities like toilets and showers have caused a problem for nearby temples. After urging from residents, the Northeast Coast Scenic Area Administration set up a rest stop at Yongzhen. Adjacent to both Provincial Highway No. 2 and the coastal bike path, the spot has become an instant hit for photos.
The sandy interior of this modern building along the coast gives it a warm ambiance, with Turtle Island just outside the window. This is the new Yongzhen rest stop in Yilan County.
The Yongzhen coast in Zhuangwei Township draws lots of visitors to watch the sunrise over Turtle Island, one of the eight classic views of Yilan. But lacking nearby infrastructure like a restroom or showers, many people would go to the nearby temples to use their facilities.

It’s in the Yongzhen coastal recreation area. For a long time, it’s been lacking this kind of high-quality location for washrooms and shops.
After requests to the central government, the Northeast Coast Scenic Area Administration invested in building a rest stop at the public park. Now, after two years of planning and construction, it’s finally open. The first floor offers visitor information and bicycle rentals, while the second story has a coffee shop.

The outdoor space on the roof also offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Turtle Island. Located conveniently next to Provincial Highway No. 2 and the coastal bikeway, the Yongzhen rest stop has become a new highlight for slow travel along the northeast coast.

宜蘭壯圍"永鎮海灘"，擁有蘭陽八景之首的"龜山朝日"景緻，但當地觀光設施不足，沒有廁所、淋浴設備，造成附近廟宇困擾。經過地方爭取，東北角風景區管理處斥資，在當地打造「永鎮濱海驛站」，鄰接台二線濱海公路及宜蘭濱海自行車道，一開幕就成為網美搶拍新景點。
走進這棟矗立在海邊，充滿現代風格的建築裡，奶油色裝潢格外溫馨，往窗外一看，龜山島就在眼前，這是永鎮濱海驛站。
宜蘭壯圍永鎮海灘，擁有蘭陽八景之首的龜山朝日，吸引許多遊客造訪。但之前觀光設施不足，沒有廁所、淋浴設備，遊客在海灘玩完，只能跑到附近廟宇借廁所。

地方向中央爭取，東北角風管處斥資，在永鎮海濱公園打造”永鎮濱海驛站"，經過兩年多的規劃興建，終於正式啟用。一樓提供遊客諮詢、自行車租賃服務，二樓則是有咖啡廳進駐。

屋頂的戶外空間更可飽覽太平洋與龜山島的壯闊景致。鄰接台二線濱海公路及宜蘭濱海自行車道，永鎮濱海驛站已經成為宜蘭濱海的慢遊新亮點。
