Uber Eats to adjust service fees up 2.5% to 3% in July

2026-04-02

And if you’re the kind of person that likes ordering delivery, take note. Uber Eats has announced a hike to its services fees. Fees for meal delivery will go up by 2.5%, and for grocery deliveries the increase is 3%. The new rates will take effect on July 21.

Uber Eats, which has over a million members, stated that the change is in response to the new food delivery regulations set to take effect in mid-July. Under the new rules, delivery workers’ earnings per order, when converted to an hourly rate, must not fall below 1.25 times the minimum wage. That would be about NT$245. The platform says that will result in increased overall operating and labor costs. But delivery industry unions believe this is merely an excuse to raise prices.
