Taiwan to stop group tours to China from June 1

2024-02-07

Taiwan’s government has told travel agents to stop organizing group tours to China. The decision was announced by the Tourism Administration, after China moved a commercial flight path closer to the median line of the Taiwan Strait. The Tourism Administration said also that China has yet to allow its own group tours to visit Taiwan. Taiwanese group tours to China were scheduled to restart in March, after a hiatus due to the pandemic. The Tourism Administration says that group tours already planned for March to May will be allowed to depart, but that none will be permitted after June 1.
