Hydrant caps, helmet tree ranked among Kaohsiung’s ‘worst attractions’

An online post recently rated Kaohsiung’s worst tourist attractions. Among their illustrious ranks is an old sign from a defunct seafood wholesaler and a cluster of hydrant covers that look like a cat’s paw. Both can even be found on Google Maps.
It’s common to people taking photos of the ground at the intersection of Singjong First and Linsen Second roads in Kaohsiung. But what are they looking at?

Yesterday a friend posted it in a group and it was right by my house. I saw it today, so I stopped by to check it out.
It was included on an online list of Kaohsiung’s worst attractions. The new pavement around the hydrant cover and nearby valves makes it look like a cat’s paw. Someone put it on Google Maps as an attraction, which now has 4.7 stars.

I found out about it online. It’s interesting, but kind of silly to make it an attraction.

Really? I didn’t see it at all, only found out after you asked me. It’s interesting, but really stupid.
Over at the intersection of Minsheng First and Fusing Second roads, a tree has been pruned into a half dome. As it looks like a giant helmet towering over passing motorcyclists, people online have dubbed it the Helmet Banyan. But that’s not all. On Tongai Street, a sign reading “hah?” from a now-defunct seafood wholesaler has also become a destination.

They sold noodles before, but switched to clams after changing owners. That’s why it still has part of the word for clam. The other part’s worn away.
After going out of business, the spot unexpectedly turned into an attraction among the perennially online that now has 5.0 stars on Google Maps.

有網友最近在網路上，整理出高雄最廢景點，有歇業的海鮮批發業者，老舊的招牌大大的"蛤"，吸引不少人去打卡朝聖，而在興中一路上，地下式的消防栓，周邊柏油鋪平後，意外形成一個貓掌印，甚至還有人在google地圖上開了一個打卡點。
高雄的興中一路與林森二路口，經常有民眾拿著手機朝馬路拍照，到底在拍什麼？

“昨天朋友在群組裡面有貼文，然後我就像說正好在我們家門口，今天有看到我就順路下來看一下”
原來網路上，網友標出高雄最廢景點，消防栓與一旁水閥，配上週邊新鋪平的柏油，意外形成一個貓掌印，就有人在google地圖上，特別設了打卡點，還獲得4.7分的高評價。

而在民生一路與復興二路口，這一棵樹修剪成半圓弧形，底下機車騎士經過，有如特大號安全帽。也被網友點名，除了消防栓變貓掌印、巨大安全帽樹，同愛街上，過去的海鮮批發店，遺留的招牌"蛤"，也成了不少網友的朝聖景點。

業者歇業後，卻也成了打卡熱點，評價高達5.0高分，雖然是無心插柳，卻變成年輕網友流傳的特殊景點。
