Taiwan stocks soared at the opening on Monday, spurred by a recovery in U.S. tech stocks. The market opened at 22,321 points, surging by as much as 350 points during the session. But the rally lost momentum and the market closed only slightly higher at 22,164 points. Institutional investors sold a net NT$8.5 billion. TSMC rose NT$20, closing at NT$644. At this point, we can only say that this is a short-term rebound and not very stable. The market sentiment is changing. There’s a nearly inexorable trend toward lower interest rates from the U.S. and other central banks. Interest rate cuts will affect exchange rates and stock markets, and that’s worth paying attention to.
This week marks a critical period for the Taiwan stock market. Within the next 48 hours, the central banks of the U.S., Japan, and the U.K. will make decisions about their interest rates. On Tuesday, major U.S. tech companies such as Microsoft, AMD, and Meta are set to release their financial reports. Several domestic blue-chip companies are also scheduled to hold earnings calls over the next week.

週五美股科技股回神，激勵台股週一開盤大反彈，以22，321點開出後，一度大漲350點，不過反攻無力，開高走低，終場收在22，164點，三大法人依舊賣超85億元，台積電逆勢撐盤，收漲20元收在644塊，專家提醒，這波反彈還不是很穩定，投資人得小心。

“現在我們只能說，這裡就是一個短線的反彈，還不是非常的穩定，現在的氣氛有點在改變，美元或者是各國央行降息，這叫做主趨勢，幾乎擋不住，那如果降的話，匯率會有變化，股市也會有變化，這點值得注意。”
未來48小時內，美國、日本、英國央行，即將進行利率決策。週二還有美國重量級科技股微軟、AMD，以及臉書母公司META，就要公布財報，國內權值股法說會也要登場，這週台股進入關鍵期。
