Chunghwa Post launches youth-friendly attractions

Chunghwa Post has launched a series of tourist attractions in Taoyuan. The big draw is the “99 Photo Wall” with a range of cute, postal-themed merchandise. The wall is intended to be a tourist attraction where people can take a selfie for social media. There are also special postboxes in pastel hues, perhaps attractive to a younger demographic. The Post Office explains the stunt is a way to show off its digital transition.

The photo wall has a number of digital and local Post Office elements. We hope that this spot will become a popular place to post photos on social media, and attract more young people to enjoy Chunghwa Post.

Alongside the photo wall, the Post Office has also launched postboxes in special colors. They’re all red and green, but the colors used are obviously pastel. The head of Taoyuan Post Office says that the 99 Photo Wall and the special postboxes will not only be used for normal functions. They will bring together local offices with the city’s Culture Bureau and Tourism Bureau, as a way to promote Taoyuan. It’s a landmark for the post office, but also a way to raise the profile of Taoyuan itself.

Chunghwa Post is promoting innovative locations, to show off some of our digital and convenient services here. I think that the 99 Photo Wall is showing off our digital transition and an innovative side of the Post Office.

Chunghua Post also wants the wall to attract fresh fans to the business, as well as perhaps younger colleagues who can revitalize this century-old veteran enterprise.

桃園郵局"網美牆"啟用 王國材:讓年輕人喜歡中華郵政

桃園郵局為了強化特色、吸引人潮,特別在成功路一樓牆面,設置"互動式網美牆",希望藉由裝置藝術,深化與在地的友好關係。中華郵政公司董事長王國材表示,這是展示創新和數位轉型,也期待年輕人會喜歡中華郵政。

牆面圖案有穿著郵差服裝的鴿子,和送信用的摩托車,這是桃園郵局最新設置的網美牆。

“整個網美牆它會有一些數位,還有一些當地這個郵局的元素,那我們期待這個地方,未來變成一個打卡的一個熱點,讓更多的年輕人喜歡我們中華郵政。”

除了網美牆,同步啟用的,還有特殊配色的郵筒,雖然一樣都是紅配綠,但所採用的顏色,明顯比一般的還要淡。桃園郵局局長說,99網美牆,以及特色郵筒啟用後,除了一般郵政業務,也將結合在地店家,和市府文化局及觀旅局合作,用多種方式宣傳桃園,不僅能提高郵局知名度,也能拉抬桃園的觀光熱度。

“現在中華郵政在推創新的場域,就是把我們一些數位化,還有便民的服務,在這個地方做一些展示。那我覺得這個整個99網美牆,它也就是我們展示我們數位轉型,郵政這個創新的一個部分。”

展現數位轉型成果,中華郵政也希望透過網美牆,能替郵局招募新血,讓跟多年輕人加入這間百年老字號公司,再創新的榮光。
