Yushan National Park closes as Typhoon Usagi approaches

Staff at Yushan National Park have evacuated hikers in the mountain, as Typhoon Usagi draws nearer. The operation started at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, as the Central Weather Administration issued a sea warning for the storm. The park is currently out of bounds and will reopen to the public after the typhoon is past.
On Wednesday night, staff from Yushan National Park offer advice on typhoon preparations to mountaineers, who are not willing to give up their hard-won hiking permit.
At this point, anything could happen. Then, in the early hours of Thursday, the Central Weather Administration issued a sea warning for Typhoon Usagi. These eager hikers had no choice but to leave the mountain.
National park staff helped guide the hikers back down. As of 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, entry to the park is forbidden.

Once the typhoon is past we will announce the date of reopening following the relevant regulations.
Though Typhoon Usagi has not yet brought strong winds or rain to the mountains, the risk of landslides remains. And should the weather change, evacuations would become significantly more difficult. For now, hikers can only wait until the storm warning is lifted, and the park announces a reopening date.

天兔颱風"海警發布" 玉管處宣布:玉山禁入園 登山客速撤離

天兔颱風逐漸靠近，玉管處人員，13日晚間，前往排雲山莊，向準備上山的登山客，宣導防颱措施，因14日清晨五點半，中央發布海上颱風警報，玉管處也同步宣布，全面禁止入園，並且勸離遊客下山，避免意外發生。
13日晚間，玉管處人員，宣導防颱措施，畢竟好不容易取得入園資格，登山客可不想放棄機會。
預告隨時會有狀況發生，果然時間來到14日凌晨，中央氣象署，發布天兔颱風海上警報，登山客心情有如雲霄飛車，瞬間往下衝。
玉管處人員，一一勸導遊客下山，同步貼出公告，11月14日早上5點半起，全面禁止入園活動。

“等颱風過後，我們會依照現況，再恢復公告入園的日期。”
天兔海警，山區雖然還沒有明顯風雨，不過高山落石多，一旦變天，可不是三兩下就能輕鬆馬上撤離，現在只能等待颱風警報解除，才會公告確切的恢復入園時間。
