2025-05-14

Danielle Chang, the daughter of the founder of ASE Group and a TV producer and host, could take over a vacant spot on the board of the semiconductor packaging giant. She’s been nominated to fill the vacancy left by her brother, who died earlier this year.

In the latest season of her TV show, Chang returns to her roots, exploring the delicious fare found in Taiwan’s night markets, temples and Indigenous communities. She moved to the US at the age of six and went on to study cultural theory and art history at Columbia University. Since then, her career has branched out into fashion, finance, art, and television. Her show, which aired on PBS in the US, has been nominated for an Emmy.
