Two-star Thai chef brings the spice to Taipei hotel restaurant

The head chef at a two-Michelin-star restaurant in Thailand is coming to Taiwan for the first time! Working with a five-star hotel in Taipei, the chef is offering a full menu of Thai specialties like the royal krathong thong, giant prawns, and slow-cooked beef rib in green curry. He started cooking when he was only 11, and has even served Lisa of Blackpink.

Giant prawns roast on an open grill, popping and sizzling as they’re brushed with lemongrass and Thai chili sauce. After removing them from the heat, the chef mixes a hardy tom yum sauce and adds lemon to pair with the tender prawns. With that, this lemon tom yum shrimp salad is ready to serve.

For this dish, the chef dices large chunk of beef rib that he drizzles with green curry before topping it off with basil. Cooked for three to five hours, the beef rib is melt-in-the-mouth tender. It’s known as their “crowning jewel” for a reason.

As a Michelin-starred restaurant, it certainly has the accolades, so I wanted to try it. He’s a very famous chef in Thailand. The dishes he’s serving here are comparatively more authentic. Maybe different from other Thai food you’d get.

It’s actually traditional Thai food. Although it appears to be more innovative, they’re still classic Thai flavors.

This renowned chef has been awarded two Michelin stars for six years running. Starting from when he was 11, he has now catered three APEC banquets and even served Lisa from Blackpink. Now on his first visit to Taiwan, he’s offering 16 different dishes at a five-star hotel in Taipei.

Aside from offering his take on the Thai royal krathong thong, this Michelin-starred chef wants to share Thai culture and flavors with people around the world through a sumptuous feast to satisfy any food lover.

泰國米其林二星主廚,這回首度來台,與台北五星飯店合作、推出一系列的"泰式料理",像是泰國皇室「泰式金杯」,還有巨無霸土蝦、慢燉綠咖哩牛肋排,這位大廚,其實從11歲就開始下廚,就連Blackpink的Lisa,都是座上賓!

巨無霸土蝦,放上烤盤鹽烤,聲音吱吱作響,香茅草刷上泰國辣醬,悶燒後起鍋,拌入靈魂酸辣醬,加上檸檬,蝦肉雙口嫩Q彈牙,檸香酸辣蝦沙拉,輕鬆上桌。

另一道,牛小排大塊切下,淋上綠咖喱醬,再搭配九層塔汁,燉煮3-5小時,綠咖喱牛肋排,口感鮮嫩多汁,這道泰式料理,被譽為"鎮店之寶",也讓人讚不絕口。

“有得到米其林的餐廳,一定是有得到一些評審的保證,所以就是會想要吃吃看。他是在泰國很有名的主廚,然後他帶來的餐點,可能就是相較起來更道地一些,跟其他的泰式可能比較不一樣”

六度蟬聯"米其林二星"的泰國國寶級主廚,從11歲就開始料理,更曾三度掌廚APEC 國宴,就連Blackpink成員Lisa都曾是座上賓,這回首度來台,攜手台北五星飯店,推出 16 道料理。

這位泰國米其林主廚,不只把經典皇室料理「泰式金杯」端上桌,也想把泰式文化和美味推向國際,打造頂級盛宴,滿足饕客味蕾。
