Baby delivered in ambulance as time runs out to reach hospital

The Tainan Fire Bureau’s Guiren station recently received an emergency call from a woman about to give birth. But when EMTs arrived on the scene, they discovered her contractions were already only two minutes apart, too late to get to the hospital. Senior EMT Su Shih-hsiung made the snap decision to deliver the baby in the ambulance. The birth went smoothly, after which they safely transported both mother and child to the hospital, to their family’s great relief.
EMTs rush to a woman’s home to take her to give birth at the hospital. But her contractions are already too close together.
As soon as she was rolled into the ambulance, senior EMT Su Shih-hsiung蘇士雄 determined the baby was about to arrive. Before the ambulance could move an inch, they had to get ready.
The birth went smoothly. Despite a chaotic start, the baby’s spirited cries put everyone at ease.

The woman’s contractions were about two minutes apart, so we decided we should deliver the baby right away. I’ve delivered babies five times. This was my fifth time. It brings me such joy. Her family was also happy the birth went well.
The baby’s smooth delivery not only put the family at ease, but also allowed Su to once again feel the joy of bringing a new life into the world. Afterward, the ambulance brought mother and child to the hospital. No doubt the unique story of her birth is to stay with this child her entire life.

救護車變產房 來不到送醫院"救護員接生女嬰"

台南市消防局歸仁分隊，日前接獲急產通報，救護人員到場發現，孕婦陣痛頻率已經小於兩分鐘，研判胎兒就要出生。高級救護技術員蘇士雄當機立斷，在救護車上就協助孕婦生產，順利接生下新生兒，再將母女倆送往醫院，母女均安讓家屬感激不已。
救護人員趕到孕婦家中，要把她送上救護車，不過孕婦的陣痛頻率，已經很密集。
孕婦一上救護車，高級救護技術員蘇士雄研判得立即接生，不等救護車發動，生產包得先派上用場。
過程順暢，小女嬰爽朗的哭聲，讓大家都放心了不少。

“孕婦陣痛的頻率大概兩分鐘陣痛一次，所以我們當下研判，應該即將生產。我本人有五次的接生經驗，這是第五次這樣，心情是蠻喜悅的啊，也感受到家人也是很開心，小朋友順利出生”
小生命順利誕生，不但讓家屬們放寬了心，也讓蘇士雄再一次感受到，迎接新生的溫馨喜悅。隨後救護人員也將母女倆送往醫院，至於小女嬰這段特殊的出生經歷，肯定會成為長大後，一輩子的溫馨回憶。
