Today we take you to an animal cafe in Taipei that sells matcha desserts and allows patrons to make their own matcha. Aside from desserts, visitors can also play with meerkats, dogs, and cats. FTV reporter Stephany Yang takes us in for a look!
Pour hot water into the bowl and start whisking matcha with a bamboo whisk until it becomes frothy. At this store, visitors can make their own matcha and participate in a Japanese tea ceremony.
Their matcha desserts are just as mouth-watering. Popular desserts include matcha tiramisu, matcha swiss rolls, matcha cheesecake, matcha ice cream with adzuki beans, and more.
Want something savory? There’s salmon and truffle chazuke and Japanese-style butter sauce pan-seared fish. The owner admires Japanese culture and the animal cafes there. Therefore, he decided to recreate one in Taiwan.

The owner likes Japanese culture very much, and he will fly to Japan from time to time. In Japan, animal cafes are very popular. There are also many varieties. He hopes that there can be a space like that in Taiwan. For drinks or desserts, guests are provided with the whisks to try out. We use higher-grade matcha so that there is a richer tea aroma.

I came here because I like matcha. Compared with Japan, I feel that the matcha here is not inferior to Japan’s matcha because the quality here is very good.

This animal cafe in Taipei allows patrons to play with meerkats.
The store also allows patrons to play with meerkats, dogs, and cats. Visitors must register in advance to play with meerkats for a maximum of five minutes. To ensure that animals are treated well, a animal caretaker will be around to give patrons advice.

The animals are free to move around, and if they come close to you, you can touch them a little. The site will ask special animal caretakers to take care of these animals. On the one hand, we are worried that some guests simply think the animals are cute, but may not have enough knowledge about animals. There are animal caretakers there to advise patrons how to treat animals to protect both patrons and animals.
The cafe hopes to provide matcha and animal lovers with a relaxing and safe place to eat and drink while spending time with adorable animals.

今天帶大家去台北一家賣抹茶甜點的寵物咖啡廳。除了可以自製抹茶、享受抹茶甜點，還可以與與狐獴、狗和貓，一起互動。
倒入熱水，用茶筅前後刷動，直到出現泡沫。來到這裡，你可以自製抹茶，體驗日本茶道。
令人垂涎欲滴的抹茶甜點，抹茶提拉米蘇、抹茶生乳捲、抹茶起司蛋糕、抹茶紅豆冰淇淋等，應有盡有。
想來點鹹的嗎，鮭魚松露茶泡飯、日式醬奶油煎魚定食，可供選擇。因為喜歡日本文化和寵物咖啡館，老闆決定在台灣打造這間店。

"老闆非常喜歡日本的文化，他三不五時就會飛到日本去，在日本的部分，像是動物餐廳在日本是非常盛行的，也非常多的種類，他希望台灣也有這樣子的空間，飲料或是甜點的部分，以抹茶為基準，提供客人DIY手刷，採用比較高等級的抹茶，相對茶香就會比較濃郁一點"

店裡還可以與狐獴、狗、貓互動。只要提前登記，就能與狐獴玩五分鐘。現場還有動物保護員，隨時提供正確的互動觀念，確保動物們的安全。

"現場的動物是可以自由的活動，如果牠接近你等等之類的，都可以稍微摸摸牠， 現場都會請專門的動物保護員去照顧這些動物，一方面擔心說有些客人單純覺得動物可愛，但是可能對於動物的知識比較不足，現場的都會請動物保護員，去告訴客人可以怎麼樣跟動物相處，保護客人也保護現場的動物"
