Police officers were dispatched to deal with a dispute at a hostess club, only to end up crashing their car and injuring two by-standers. The incident happened during the wee hours of Thursday in Taipei’s East District. As the police officers had arrived by car at the building, the car had a brake failure and crashed right into the entrance of the building. The splattering glass shards cut two passers-by. Fortunately, no one was critically injured.
It’s late into the night and a police car is rushing to a commercial building. When it’s about to park, the car has a brake failure and crashes right into the entrance. The glass doors shatter, and the scene frightens everyone who happened to be there.
After the crash, the building entrance was completely defaced, with glass shattered and beams deformed. As for the vehicle in question, the front was also severely damaged, and so was the headlight on the left. The airbags were released, meaning, the impact of the crash was quite something.
Fortunately, none of the officers on the car were injured, but a man and a woman at the entrance of the building did get cut by glass shards on the legs. They were immediately sent to emergency care.
In the morning, people come in and out of the building. Guards have been stationed to keep watch over the scene.

The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday at a commercial building on the busy Section 4 of Zhongxiao East Road in Taipei. The police was on their way to handle a dispute at a hostess club in the building. The vehicle had passed a safety check before they headed out. It’s unbelievable that a failure would occur while it had just arrived at the doorsteps. It was later revealed that the car had only undergone repair and maintenance in April. Per regulations, a police vehicle is to be decommissioned when the mileage hits 125,000km or when it reaches 15 years in service. The car in question only logged in over 80,000km but had been in use since 2011, making it just one year close to expiry. After the incident, the vehicle was immediately decommissioned.

The incident caused severe damage to the front of the patrolling vehicle. In addition, the building in question also had the framing and glass of the entrance gate damaged. Our colleague had a value of zero in an alcohol test.
The police also said they will pay for repairs after getting a quote, and that not a single cent will go unpaid. In any case, the scene really was quite a shock even when replayed.

煞車失靈，警車撞進大樓！週四凌晨，台北市大安分局員警，驅車前往一處商辦大樓，要處理酒店糾紛，沒想到，快要抵達時，疑似車子煞車失靈，導致警車轉彎煞不住，直接撞進商辦的大門口，玻璃瞬間全碎，噴濺的碎片還割傷2名路人，所幸沒有生命危險。
深夜時分，警車十萬火急，趕往商辦大樓，就快到達目的地時，車子突然煞車失靈，整個煞不住，直直往右邊的大樓衝去，碰的一聲，大門玻璃瞬間被撞碎，嚇壞路人。
這一撞，整個大門幾乎毀了，玻璃全碎，門柱被撞凹，而撞擊的警車，車頭嚴重毀損，左前方車燈毀損，安全氣囊爆開，可見這撞擊力道真的不少。
所幸車上的員警沒有受傷，但當時大樓內一男一女，被噴濺的玻璃割到，腿部受傷，趕緊包紮送醫。
一大早上班時間，人來人往進進出出，這棟商辦大樓趕緊派員先做安全防護。

事發在7號凌晨，台北市忠孝東路四段一處商辦大樓，員警當時要去處理樓上酒店的糾紛案件，出勤前，車子沒問題，萬萬沒想到開到一半，發生意外。據了解，這輛車今年4月才剛保養，依規定里程數達12.5萬公里或是使用15年，就得換。這輛肇事警車才開8萬多公里，不過2011年開始使用，年限也即將滿了，就在汰換前，先出了意外，直接報廢。

“本事故造成警用巡邏車車頭嚴重車損，另案址大樓門柱及玻璃毀損，經酒測同仁酒測值為零。”
警方表示，大樓大門毀損費用，等估價出來之後，該賠的會賠償。再看一次，警車撞進大樓畫面，真的超驚險。
