Cantonese lunchbox store in Yonghe offers meals for NT$95

Food prices have continued to rise with inflation, making it hard to find any meals for under NT$100 these days. But one restaurant in New Taipei City’s Yonghe District, run by a couple from Hong Kong, still offers pork, chicken, and duck bento boxes for NT$95 apiece, making it popular with people looking for an affordable, filling meal. They’re so popular that they usually sell out within an hour and a half.

A chef skillfully slices crispy roast duck. Beside the cutting board are chicken legs cooked in soy sauce with barbecued pork, which are cut into slices and arranged into bento boxes. The chef adds a drizzle of scallion oil and sauce to top it off.

This restaurant in Yonghe District sells chicken, duck, and pork bento boxes for just NT$95. Not only is it a great value, but the owners are from Hong Kong and roast meat in the traditional Cantonese way. There’s always a line out the door shortly after they open.

As prices continue to rise with inflation, the couple that owns this restaurant keep their prices low by only hiring one additional employee, only working during mealtimes, and buying in bulk to reduce costs. Here, customers can enjoy Cantonese-style bento boxes that are filling as well as affordable.

CP值爆表!永和燒臘便當百元有找 燒肉飯1小時售完

物價不斷飆漲,現在一個便當幾乎都要百元以上,不過在新北永和,有一間超高CP值的燒臘便當店,叉燒、油雞、燒鴨通通百元有找,老闆還是道地香港人,正宗手藝加上佛心價,吸引不少饕客排隊購買,每到用餐時間,幾乎一個半小時就賣光光。

俐落刀工切下去,金黃酥脆的燒鴨肉「卡滋」作響,旁邊還有油雞、叉燒、燒肉等,通通切成片狀,整齊排進餐盒,最後添上一匙蔥油,再淋上特製醬汁,香氣撲鼻,光看就讓人口水直流。

位在永和的燒臘便當店,包括油雞飯、燒鴨飯、叉燒飯是百元有找,不只高CP,老闆還是道地的香港人,正宗燒臘手藝,深受許多饕客喜愛,常常開門不到10分鐘,隊伍就已排到轉角。

“買燒肉跟燒鴨,滿好吃的,然後他老闆是香港人,所以我覺得很純,然後他們價位又不會很貴,現在沒有100塊以上的,沒有辦法買到。”

即便物價飆漲,這裡的便當卻維持佛心價,靠的就是老闆夫妻倆共同打拼,只額外請一位員工,而且每天只有用餐時間需要工時,一天工作4小時,將人力成本降低,加上大量進貨降低成本,儘管利潤薄,靠著薄利多銷,也讓消費者吃到俗擱大碗的燒臘便當。
