Children enjoy rowing and clamming at Chiayi fish farm

Dongshi Township in Chiayi is famous for its fresh clams, known for their sweet flavor. To give children a hands-on experience, a local fish farm offers activities for families, including clamming, boating, and seaweed harvesting. Visitors can even make oyster rolls, helping kids better understand how Chiayi’s seafood gets from the pond to their table.

Kids wade through the water, using their hands to pick up clams from the mud.

Later they hop on a boat and try rowing across the pond together. Here at this recreational fishing ground in Dongshi , Chiayi, parents and teachers bring kids to enjoy themselves and learn through outdoor activities.

Today our cram school brought students here for some educational outdoor activities.

Kids can try all kinds of things, including fishing, harvesting seaweed, and even barbequing fresh seafood, giving them a chance to learn outside the classroom through hands-on experiences.

Next door, people can even learn how to make oyster rolls.

有吃有玩! 嘉義東石漁場教育體驗"摸文蛤.划船.撈海菜"

嘉義東石是文蛤的重要產地，優質的文蛤口感鮮甜，為了讓小朋友不只是在課本中學習，有一處漁場，就規劃各式活動讓給親子體驗，包含摸文蛤、划船體驗和撈海菜等等，而在好美里也能動手做蚵捲，要讓學生魚塭到餐桌，更加認識嘉義海味。

小朋友站在水中，雙手則在裡頭撈啊撈，體驗著摸文蛤的樂趣。

又或是搭上小船在魚塭探索，手拿船槳開心划船，這裡是位在嘉義東石的一處休閒漁場，不論是爸爸媽媽帶小孩，還是老師帶學生，都能自在的在這裡，感受到大自然的獨特魅力。

業者推出各式活動，不僅能捕魚、釣魚和撈海菜，現場也能海鮮燒烤DIY，要讓孩子除了在課本學習，也能親自體會。

“我們也是全台唯一一個，可以體驗划船，以及打撈我們的海底龍鬚菜，那我們這邊呢，我們有做環境教育跟食農教育”

要推廣食農教育，隔壁的布袋好美里，則是教大小朋友學習做蚵捲。
