Foushoushan Farm hosts Taiwan’s highest ATM

The highest post office in Taiwan is on Alishan, but do you know where the highest post office ATM is? It’s in Taichung at Fushoushan Farm! At 2,240 meters above sea level, it saves residents and visitors at least a half hour round trip to the next-nearest ATM. Now when tourists want to buy local produce, they no longer need to worry about running out of cash. Since the area is famous for its apples, Chunghwa Post created a special apple-shaped sign for the ATM that people love to take photos with.

- At 2,240 meters above sea level, the remote Fushoushan Farm has officially inaugurated Taiwan’s only apple-shaped post office ATM!

The farm’s social media manager excitedly introduces their new post office ATM—the highest in all of Taiwan. Setting up the machine was no easy feat, as annual operational costs can reach over a million dollars. Chunghwa Post finalized the decision only after careful evaluation.

Most of our apples are imported. But honestly, most imported apples aren’t as good as the ones here in Lishan. So we thought, Lishan’s specialty is apples—the megumi apples especially are world-famous—so we designed the ATM sign to look like a megumi apple.

Tourists buying local produce no longer need to worry about running low on cash. The machine operates 24 hours a day and even supports cardless withdrawals.

This service is amazing! Before, if we wanted to buy things and ran out of cash, we had to go over to Lishan to withdraw money. Driving, it took about 30 minutes round-trip. But now we have this ATM. It’s very considerate. I’m glad we have it!

The Lishan Post Office 6km away is responsible for replenishing the ATM. Two police officers from Lishan Station are dispatched to escort the cash, ensuring the banknotes safely reach Taiwan’s highest ATM.

福壽山農場"全台最高"郵局ATM 蘋果造型招牌超吸睛

全台最高的郵局在阿里山，但最高的局外ATM，您知道在哪裡嗎？答案就在台中和平區福壽山農場！這台ATM海拔高度2240公尺，以往農場遊客或當地民眾，必須來回30分鐘車程，才找到得提款機領錢，現在農場內就有ATM，遊客採買農產再也不用擔心現金不夠。由於當地盛產蘋果，郵局也特別設計蘋果造型的招牌，吸引遊客拍照打卡！

農場小編用興奮的語氣，來介紹這台，全台最高的郵局ATM，因為這台ATM真的是得來不易，每年營運成本高達上百萬，中華郵政審慎評估後，才拍板定案。

“哇，這個很特別耶，全台灣首見的吧，是一個蘋果造型耶，太有創意了”

中華郵政的自動櫃員機招牌，竟然是一顆綠色的蘋果，看了都感覺聞到蘋果香。

“我們現在蘋果，大部分都是進口的，進口的一般來講的話，老實講就是沒有梨山在地的好吃，所以我們就想說，梨山的招牌就是蘋果，尤其是蜜蘋果是全世界有名的，所以我們就用蜜蘋果的造型，來做它的ATM的招牌”

遊客採買農特產，不用再怕臨時現金不夠，機器24小時運作，還支援無卡提領。

“我覺得這個服務太棒了，以前我們如果要買東西，錢不夠都還要跑到梨山去提錢，來回大概車程要三十分鐘，那我們現在有這個ATM，我覺得太貼心，太開心了”

最高海拔郵局ATM，由6公里外的梨山郵局，負責補鈔，梨山分駐所也會安排兩名員警護鈔，確保鈔票安全無虞，送進全台最高ATM。
